PL 5000TM laser

What is Low Level Laser?

The Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) approval of the Pl 5000TM laser to use for pain relief in patients suffering from chronic and acute pain. The laser was created by Erchonia TM located in Mesa, Arizona. It has been proven to be effective through extensive testing to significantly reduce the level of pain and other symptoms associated with illness and injury. It is an effective method of treatment for many disorders.

The PL 5000TM is the first and only low-level laser approved for use in reducing pain. By contrast to the high-power, high-heat lasers that are used in various surgical procedures, Erchonia lasers produce a low-level, or cold , output that has no thermal effect in the body's tissue. Instead, the laser serves to stimulate biological function positively. Low-level laser therapy is commonly used to treat conditions such as acute and chronic pain in a number of medical areas without negative side effects.

Desneige is pleased to offer PL 5000TM laser as a therapy for pain relief, various internal medical conditions and sports related injuries among others. She has been using the Pl 5000TM since September 2007 in conjunction with acupuncture and as a sole treatment entity. She has been consistently surprised and amazed by its efficiency and the rate of accelerated healing that occurs in most patients. It is non-invasive, non-thermal and results are quickly evident.

On this page you will find a number of resources, including articles and testimonials that may answer some of your questions concerning the LLL (low level laser). Please feel free to ask Desneige any questions you may have.

Testimonials

"I have chronic inflammation. When a flare up occurs it can be completely debilitating. During an episode, weekly treatment with the cold laser allows me to regain mobility and a wide range of motion. Prior to availing myself of this healing technique, I could go long periods of times with very limited movement."

- Susan H., 50 year old Boston business owner

"I suffered with plantar fasciitis for over a year and a half. A bad running shoe was the culprit. My podiatrist recommended a cortisone shot as a quick way to reduce or eliminate the pain. I feared the potential adverse consequence of such a treatment. Instead, I opted for the nightly foot brace and rest. I stopped running... The healing process was very slow and I continued to have pain with that first step out of bed in the morning. Also, I had that stretching sensation far too often. Then, at a point of great frustration and anger, I remembered the success I experience with acupuncture for my infertility. When I talked with Desneige, she suggested that I try cold laser, a new technique she had just begun to introduce to her patients. I was absolutely amazed by the results on my very first visit! After a series of three sessions, I am no longer in pain and am now running 4-5 times a week. It's a miracle... I never thought I would recover from this injury!"

-Kate D., 47 year old attorney and mother of three

"For years I've been told tremors in my left hand were a result of damage done during the alcoholic years of my life. Talking with Desneige I came to realize that a skull fracture suffered when I was nine could have left scar tissue causing the tremors. After the first cold laser treatment the tremors stopped. Bi-monthly treatments continue to keep these tremors from reappearing."

-G.S., contractor

"I developed bursitis in my shoulder. I had it fifteen years ago. When I called my doctor, I found out there are no new treatments for it. I knew I was in for 2-3 weeks of pain. I decided to try laser. After two treatments, I was pain free. I am thankful for this new treatment."

-J.E., receptionist

"I came to Desneige with a pain in my shoulder that was shooting down my arm. I had taken tons of pain relievers, but nothing helped and it had been going on for about a month. In just one treatment with her laser the pain was completely gone and six months later it still hasn't returned."

-S.C., 36 year old computer analyst
